To help students destress and reactivate during this winter vacation, a fun games event is being organized by the Sports Department (Jinniuhu) in the Student Activity Centre, Jinniuhu Campus on January 26.
All students on campus are welcome to participate. The top participants will receive prizes while others will get stamps on activity cards.
Rope Skipping
Rules:
Participants will perform a one-minute rope skipping (single under or double under), with two feet up and down together. The times in one minute will be recorded. If there is any violation during the game, participants won’t be eliminated. However, their times won’t be counted until they jump in the approved way.
Violation:
One foot jumping;
Not jumping with the two feet across the rope together;
Not using the rope provided by the organizers.
Plank：
Rules:
The plank must be done with a straight body from head to heels, an engaged core, and
shoulders stacked over elbows. Hands should be shoulder-width apart, and feet should be hip-width apart or together.
Participants will be timed until they are unable to hold the plank (exhausted or cannot keep the correct position).
Also, as long as participants are judged as incapable, they have to leave the field.
Violation:
Incomplete support with elbows not reaching 90-degree;
Knees touching the ground;
Hips sagging or arching excessively;
Not maintaining a straight line from head to heels.
Push-up
Rules:
Participants perform as many push-ups as possible within 1 minute. The winners are determined by the highest number completed.
Violation:
Incomplete reps (not reaching full extension or 90-degree bend);
Knees touching the ground;
Hips sagging or arching excessively;
Not maintaining a straight line from head to heels.
Other unspecified matters in the fun games are subject to the organizers from the Sports Department (Jinniuhu).
