NUIST Circulation Cup “Men’s Football League
Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) hosted the Circulation Cup Men’s Football League
from November 2023 to April 2024. This football competition showcased players from nearly every college
at NUIST, including the College of International Education (CIE).
In the top 8 round, the CIE Football Team faced opponents from the College of Emergency Management. After an intense match, the CIE Team scored 6 goals while the College of Emergency Management team remained at zero, securing victory for the CIE Football Team. This win allowed the CIE Football Team to advance to the quarter-finals.
On March 30, 2024, the quarter-finals of the Circulation Cup took place between the College of Atmospheric Physics and the CIE. Despite the strength of the College of Atmospheric Physics, the CIE Football Team dominated the match. The final score was 11-2 in favor of the CIE Football Team. With this impressive victory, the CIE Football Team secured their spot in the semi-finals.
On April 13th, 2024, in the afternoon. The highly anticipated Circulation Cup semi-final commenced. The CIE Football Team faced off against the College of Automation in a thrilling showdown on the green field. Despite both teams' formidable strength, the CIE Football Team dominated the match, securing a commanding 11-0 lead. Displaying exceptional skill and unity, they consistently penetrated the Automation College's defense with precise passing and aggressive offense. While the Automation College struggled to find the net, their unwavering fighting spirit deserves recognition. With this impressive performance, the CIE Football Team secured their place in the finals.
Amidst the spotlight, the 2023–2024 Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology Men's Football League Circulation Cup finals unfolded with great anticipation. The College of Environmental Science and Engineering and the College of International Education took center stage as the two opposing teams. A fierce competition ensued as both sides vied for victory. Although the CIE Football Team initially trailed 1:0 due to a penalty kick from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering team, they refused to concede defeat. With unwavering determination and enthusiasm, the CIE Football Team rallied and managed to level the score. As the referee blew the final whistle, the College of International Education emerged triumphant with a scoreline of 5:1 against the College of Environmental Science and Engineering. With this victory, the CIE Football Team was crowned champions.
