Summer Vacation Mixed Games

The College of International Education (CIE) Sports Department is excited to announce the Summer Vacation Fun Mixed Games 2024. This event, hosted by the sports department, offers a great mix of competitiveness, friendship, and excitement. The event aims to unite students for an enjoyable, game-filled, and unforgettable time during summer vacation at the university.

Team Composition: 

Each team will have four (4) players, and individual participation is not allowed. The emphasis is on teamwork and collaboration.

The sports department executive committee has appointed the following international students as the main organizers of the Summer Vacation Fun Mixed Games 2024.

Day 1 Games:

1. Balloon Volleyball

Organizer of the game Jafor Abdullah Bin, Khallouki Fahd

Volunteers Mondol Dipto, Christopher Braima Jusu Momo

Basic gameplay:

The game is divided into a single 10-minute period, with no halves.

The server needs to stand in the service area when preparing to serve and can only serve with one hand.

The goal is to knock the ball into the opponent's court.

When the time limit ends, the team with the higher score wins.

You may only touch the ball with your forearms or palms.

Each time the ball is caught, every player on the team must touch the ball at least once.

The same player is not allowed to catch the ball consecutively.

2. Pop Pass Basket Catch

Organizer of the game- Anup Chandra Sagor, Rakib Nur Alam

Basic gameplay:

Teams aim to catch as many balls as possible within a three-minute time limit.

Each team member takes turns launching a ball into the air.

The other three team members must work together to catch the balls.

Each successful catch earns one (1) point.

If a ball is caught in the designated catching area, it earns two (2) points.

The team with the highest total score wins.

3. Balance on the Spoon

Organizer of the game -  Khallouki Fahd, Jafor Abdullah Bin

Basic gameplay:

The goal is to balance a ball on a spoon and race from the starting line to the finish line and back without dropping the ball, using only one hand.

Each participant starts with a ball balanced on their spoon at the starting line, holding the spoon in one hand.

On the signal, the first participant from each team races to the finish line and back, balancing the ball on the spoon with one hand.

If the ball falls off, the participant must stop, reposition the ball on the spoon, and continue from where it was dropped.

Upon returning to the starting line, the participant passes the ball to the next team member without using their hands.

The team that completes the course in the shortest time wins the round.

4. Short Run

Organizer of the game - Rakib Nur Alam, Anup Chandra Sagor

Basic gameplay:

Each team lines up behind the starting line, with all four players ready to start.

On the signal, the first player from each team carries a water balloon from the starting line to the finish line.

If a player drops their balloon at any point, they must stop, retrieve a new balloon from the container, and continue running.

Once they reach the finish line, they hand off the balloon to the next teammate, who then runs back to the starting line with it.

After the first player returns, the next player in line takes their turn,continuing until all team

members have completed the race.

The first team to have all four members complete their runs in the shortest time wins.

Day2 Games:

1. Three Brick Walking

Organizer of the game - Anup Chandra Sagor, Rakib Nur Alam

Basic gameplay:

Each team lines up behind the starting line, with their three bricks placed in front of them.

On the signal,  the first player from each team must pick up the three bricks and place them in a straight line on the ground in front of their team.

The player must then walk from the starting line to the finish line, stepping only on the bricks (no stepping on the ground).

If a player steps off the bricks or knocks them over, they must return to the starting line and begin again.

Once the first player reaches the finish line, they return to the start line and hand off the bricks to the next teammate.

This continues until all team members have completed the course.

The first team to have all members complete the course wins.

2. Hoop Head

Organizer of the game - Jafor Abdullah Bin, Khallouki Fahd

Basic gameplay:

Two players on each team wear a headband with a hoop attached to it.

On the signal, two players start throwing balls while the other two players try to catch them in the hoops attached to their heads.

Players can move around to catch the balls, but they cannot use their hands to assist in catching.

Each successful catch (where the ball lands and stays in the hoop) earns the player or team one (1) point.

The team with the most points at the end of the time limit wins the game.

3. Throw Ball on Stump

Organizer of the game - Rakib Nur Alam, Anup Chandra Sagor

Basic gameplay:

Players line up behind the throwing line.

Each player gets three chances to throw the ball.

The player must throw the ball so that it bounces once on the ground before hitting the stump.

Direct hits (without bouncing) or throws that bounce more than once before hitting the stump do not count.

Successfully hitting the stump after one bounce earns one (1) point.

After all players have had their three chances,the player or team with the highest score wins.

4. Water Sponge Run

Organizer of the game -  Khallouki Fahd, Jafor Abdullah Bin

Volunteers - Mondol Dipto, Christopher Braima Jusu Momo

Basic gameplay:

Each team lines up behind the starting line, with their bucket and a water source nearby.

On the signal, all four players from each team soak their sponges in the water source.

Each player then places the soaked sponge on their head and uses their hands to support it while running to the finish line.

Once they reach the finish line, they squeeze the sponge into their team’s bucket.

After squeezing out the water, players return to the starting line to soak their sponges again and repeat the process.

All four players can run simultaneously.

Players can strategize on how to maximize water collection and minimize time.

The team that fills their bucket with the most water in the shortest amount of time wins.

General Regulations:

Participants must adhere to safety guidelines set by organizers.

Respect fellow participants. Unsportsmanlike conduct is strictly prohibited.

Any attempt to cheat may result in disqualification, and the decision of organizers or referees is final.

The primary goal is to have fun and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.

How to JoinIndividuals who want to participate may join The Summer Vacation Fun Mixed Games official WeChat group by scanning the following QR. The organizers encourage all the students to create their teams and join the games. Students without a team will be randomly assigned to groups on-site. Teams that do not meet the four-person requirement will be disqualified, and individual participation is not allowed. On the first day of the games, team registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. It is mandatory for all team members to be on time and participate on both days.  

For the Sports Department to confirm your attendance, all participants must participate on both days and stay in the event till the end. The winning team will get the gifts from the department.  So, get ready to enjoy The Summer Vacation Fun Mixed Games 2024!
