Chinese Government Excellent International Student Scholarship is regarded as the greatest honor awarded by the Chinese government to international students due to the large number of applicants and strict and rigorous evaluation requirements.
The application for the 2020-2021 Chinese Government Excellent International Student Scholarship began in November 2020, and more than 50 students submitted applications. After online and offline presentation, as well as committee’s review, CIS recommended 6 students as candidates. Among them we have the reviewer of SCI journals who has published 3 papers in core journals, such as Atmospheric Environment; the member of Principal Assistant Team, who has made great contributions to the international construction of NUIST; the volunteer for the COVID-19 prevention and control, who risked his own safety to serve other students on campus; and the founder of “Love Chinese” Project for Indonesian students in China, who have contributed positively to the spread of Chinese language studies.
After review by the Ministry of Education of PRC, 6 students recommended by NUIST stood out from 575 applicants across the country and all won the “2020-2021 Chinese Government Excellent International Student Scholarship”by virtue of their outstanding performance. International students in our school have won this award for six consecutive years, and this year NUIST ranks the second place among all universities in Jiangsu Province, demonstrating that the Ministry of Education and China Scholarship Council approve yearly-improving international education of NUIST.
