Sports Department President – K.L. Pasindu Indika Liyanage
I am Pasindu Liyanage, pursuing my PhD in Atmospheric Remote Sensing and Atmospheric Sounding in the second year. I have been studying at NUIST since 2017 and held the vice presidency at NUIST IMSA for 2017/2018 and the Secretary position at the CIE, Sports Department for 2023/2024. I am delighted to work as the President of the Sports Department for the year 2024/2025. As the President, I will lead my executive team to uphold all the former glory of the department while bringing it forward to greater honour.
Department Adviser – Amitave Saha
I’m Amitave Saha, and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering (EIE). It’s a privilege to serve as the Adviser of the CIE Sports Department. After being the last year's President, I am excited to step into this new role and continue supporting the department’s growth. With a positive mindset and enthusiasm, I’m committed to fulfilling my responsibilities and working closely with the team. Together, we’ll aim for excellence and create a stronger, united sports community.

Hello everyone, I am Dipayon Bachar, a second-year master's student majoring in Information and Communication Engineering. I’m grateful to be here the new vice president. Thank you for choosing me for this position,
This year let’s work together, your ideas and suggestions are really important to improve our department.This year, let’s focus on teamwork and making sure everyone feels like they’re part of something special. It doesn’t matter whether or not you have any position in the sports department, we are a family here. I’m confident that with our teamwork, this year is going to be the best one yet.
Secretary - Chowdhury Tanvir Mahmud
Hello! I am Chowdhury Tanvir Mahmud, and I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Computer Science and Technology. I’m thrilled to take on the role of secretary for the sports department for the 2024/2025 year.
I’m eager to work closely with my fellow team members to ensure that we continue to honour the achievements of our department’s past. I believe that by collaborating and supporting each other, we can bring our sports department to even greater heights. Together, we can create a vibrant and inclusive environment that encourages participation and celebrates our successes.

My name is Stephanie; a third international Chinese language education student. I am honoured to be appointed as part of the 2024/2025 CIE Sports Department Executive. I will try my best to fulfill my duties, and I hope everyone will have an interesting and useful experience with the upcoming activities planned by the department.
Organizer - Yakubbaev Jamshidbek
I am Yakubbaev Jamshidbek, pursuing my bachelor's in AI. I have been studying at NUIST since 2023 and held the Organizer at NUIST CIE SPORTS DEPARTMENT for the 2023-2024 academic year. I am delighted to work as the Organizer of the sports department for the year 2024-2025. As an executive member, I will give my full support to my team to uphold all the former glory of the department while bringing it forward to greater honour.
Organizer - Anup Chandra Sagor
I am Anup Chandra Sagor, and I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Technology. I am thrilled to announce that I have recently been selected as an organizer for the CIE sports department. Sports have been an integral part of my life since I was young, teaching me invaluable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and pushing myself to reach my full potential. As an organizer, I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to elevating the gameday experience and ensuring our athletic programs receive the first-class operational support they deserve.
