Writing a technical research paper can be challenging, especially for students. To help tackle this challenge, the Computer Electronic Software Society recently organized a workshop on March 28th to equip students with the skills to craft outstanding technical research papers.

Led by Mr. Oscar Famous Dareth, a Ph.D. candidate at NUIST specializing in Smart Grid and Multi-Energy Systems, the workshop attracted approximately 160 students from various departments of the university, it covered everything from picking the right research topic to injecting creativity into papers.

Workshop Overview:

Mr. Famous commenced the workshop by addressing the challenge faced by new researchers in identifying suitable research topics. Drawing from his experiences, he shared practical methodologies to facilitate this process.

Subsequently, the workshop delved into the importance of injecting novelty into research activities. Participants gained insights into methods for introducing fresh perspectives and originality into their work.

Furthermore, Mr. Famous elucidated essential research tools, including citation management, writing aids, and analytical resources, to aid participants in their research journey. The session culminated with a detailed exploration of research analysis and evaluation, emphasizing its significance in the research process.
