International Students Assist Community Workers

In a heartening display of environmental stewardship and community engagement, international students from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) have joined forces with community workers to address weed infestation in the Talent Apartment. This collaborative effort, led by the College of International Education, a volunteer team of 24 students actively participating in the cleanup activity.

At precisely 1:20 PM, students gathered together, brimming with enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose. Promptly at 1:30 PM, the group swung into action. Over the course of one and a half hours, until 3:00 PM, the volunteers worked tirelessly alongside community workers.

The initiative, undertaken voluntarily by the students, underscored their commitment to fostering a healthier and more vibrant environment within their community. With a shared goal of enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Talent Apartment area, the volunteers diligently worked to eradicate weeds, remove dead grass, and clear away leaves.

This event showcased the effectiveness of community partnerships in addressing shared challenges. Residents of the Talent Apartment area expressed gratitude for the collective efforts, noting a visible improvement in the cleanliness and aesthetics of their neighborhood.
