On April 14th, the Domestic Affairs Department (DAD) conducted a remarkable cleaning campaign, rallying 60 dedicated volunteers to clean up the ShuoYuan and Talent Apartment Units 1, 2, and 3. Under the guidance of DAD executives, participants undertook a mission to enhance the cleanliness of their living spaces.
The event saw a collaborative effort from international students, working tirelessly for three hours to tackle various cleaning tasks. From scrubbing public areas to tidying up public kitchens and beautifying the surroundings of the dorms and apartments, every participant played an essential role in transforming the environment.
The College of International Education (CIE) played a fundamental role in the campaign’s success by providing cleaning equipment and essential instructions. The meticulous planning and coordination ensured that the event ran smoothly, with participants equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to make a tangible difference.
These cleaning activities contributed to the campus’s physical cleanliness and promoted a sense of community and responsibility among the participants. By coming together to improve their living spaces, students demonstrated their commitment to creating a cleaner and more welcoming environment for all residents.
As the cleaning campaign ended, participants gathered for a group photo, capturing the spirit of teamwork and unity that defined the event. The sense of accomplishment and fellowship was palpable as volunteers reflected on their efforts and positive impact on the campus community.
Continuing to organize such meaningful initiatives, DAD reinforces its role as an instigator for positive change within the campus community. By promoting cleanliness and encouraging a sense of ownership among students, these events contribute to a vibrant and flourishing campus environment.
The cleaning campaign organized by DAD was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of all participants and the support of CIE. As students continue to take pride in their campus and actively contribute to its upkeep, the spirit of community and collaboration will continue to prosper.
