At the afternoon of September 27,the Opening Ceremony for 2018 Master of Meteorology of the Ministry of Commerce was held in Reading Academy Building Hall. Professor Li Beiqun, President of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, attended the ceremony along with other directors from other departments and schools of NUIST. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Ma Tinghuai, Dean of College of International Students.
President Li Beiqun delivered a welcome speech for our new students who come from 26 countries. President Li wished every international student present today could study hard, promote himself / herself and strive for excellence. Also, he asked all the new students to get involved in university life and Chinese culture as soon as possible. Last but not least, he wished the new could grow up along with Chinese students and make profound friendship with Chinese people.
Professor Li Jianbo, dean of College of Liberal Arts, paraphrase the university motto from four aspects.
Later, student representative Ms. SOMSES SIEGLINDE shared her experience with new students. Then new student representative Mr. SALAH MOHAMMAD TAYSEER ABDEL RAHMAN expressed his thanks for Chinese government and also for NUIST.
