Chancellor Li Beiqun Delivered Keynote Speech on 13th WMO SYMET

On October 30, the Thirteenth World Meteorological Organization Symposium on Education and Training (WMO SYMET-XIII) opened in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. More than 100 meteorological and hydrological government officials, research institutions, experts and scholars, WMO Regional Training Center Directors, National Meteorological and Hydrological Bureau Training Center leaders from the WMO and more than 70 countries and regions gathered in Bridgetown, discussing the topics of “How to promote and strengthen the world meteorological and hydrological education and training capacity-building”, “How to meet the multiple needs of world meteorological and hydrological education and training”, “How to promote world education and training cooperation and resource sharing” and other topics.

Chancellor Li Beiqun attended the WMO SYMET-XIII by invitation and delivered a keynote speech on “NUIST Contributions: First-rate Discipline for a WMO Education & Training Platform Aiming at Improved Professional Competency of Global NMHS”.
